Riverbend is Shadowcliff’s most secluded cabin—a quiet refuge among trees, meadow, mountains, and stream. Long-time guests return year after year to this peaceful hideaway, where mornings often begin with moose grazing in the willows and evenings end with stars reflected in the river below.

From its covered front porch to its airy loft, Riverbend Cabin feels like stepping into the woods themselves. The living room features a woodburning stove, comfortable seating, and a cozy dining nook with a table and chairs — perfect for morning coffee or evening board games. The fully equipped kitchen includes everything you need for cooking (just bring your own food).
On the main floor, you’ll find the bathroom (shower, toilet, and sink) and a private bedroom with one double bed. A staircase leads to the open-air loft, where two additional sleeping areas await: one side with a double bed and couch, and across the catwalk, two low-lying twin beds with a small dresser and storage closets.
Step outside to the stream-side deck, overlooking the North Inlet, willow thickets, and abundant wildlife. It’s the perfect spot for reading, reflection, and watching the river flow by.
Rates
- $295 per night for up to 4 people
- $285 per night for 5 nights or more
- $25 per night for each additional guest (age 8+)
All proceeds directly support Shadowcliff’s nonprofit operations and community programs.
Cabin Policies
- Minimum Stay: Three nights
- Check-In: 3:00 PM
- Check-Out: 10:00 AM
- Deposit: A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at booking
- Linens: All guests are given towels and a lovingly folded linen packet upon arrival;Â guests make their own beds
- Housekeeping: Daily housekeeping service is not provided in the cabins
- Smoking: No smoking anywhere on Shadowcliff grounds, lodges, or cabins — this includes tobacco products, cigars, pipes, marijuana (medical or otherwise), and electronic smoking devices.
- Pets: No pets are permitted anywhere on the Shadowcliff property.
- Camping & Vehicles: Camping, sleeping in vehicles, or overnight parking for this purpose are not permitted anywhere on the Shadowcliff grounds. All guests must stay in designated accommodations.

Cancellations:
- Within 24 hours of booking: Full refund.
- After 24 hours and up to 14 days before arrival: Loss of half of the 50% deposit.
- Within 14 days of arrival: Loss of the full 50% deposit.
- Changing dates: If your plans change, we’re happy to work with you to find new dates. Deposits are transferable to different dates within the same season. Please call us at 970-627-9220 for assistance.
