Shadow Cliff is a one of a kind gem in Grand Lake. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed in the dorm room which was clean and plenty of room for my stuff. The main lodge is very welcoming with majestic views over the town and lake below. There is a well appointed kitchen for doing your own cooking.

Exploring Journeys at Shadowcliff
ExcellentBased on 48 reviewslisa WanderAugust 21, 2023To call this losge accommodating is incorrect. This place is great and intuitively inclusive may not be the easiest for a wheelchair but the workers will go above and beyond to support everyone that visits. Thank you to Bruce, queen b, pyer, Megan, and everyone who makes this hostel welcome inChris SchreckJune 8, 2023I visited Shadowcliff almost every summer as a kid, I've brought my own kid here many times, and I still can't find the right words to describe it. It is peaceful, relaxing, unique, and amazing in every way. We're looking forward to visiting again soon.strawberrycowgirlAugust 31, 2021We made a last minute decision to drive through the Rocky Mts on our way home from Yellowstone, and needed a place to sleep and shower. A guy from another hotel gave me the number to Shadowcliff. Emily was so nice to make arrangements for our late arrival. We had no idea what the area looked like until morning, and were so excited to see the views at first light. Wish we had more time to explore the grounds. I took a few minutes to sit out on the deck to pray and take in the beauty before we departed. Highly recommend this beautiful place!AndrewAugust 24, 2021Absolutely everything you could ask for in a cabin type setting. A variety of housing options. Our group stayed in a cabin that had about 8 separate rooms equipped with a bunk and double bed, dresser, window and heater. We had three floors. The bottom was a dining area, full kitchen, two bathrooms on the first and second floor and a spacious 3rd floor with fire place, lots of seating and beautiful views of mountains and the lake. You have wonderful grounds to walk around where you can here the river flowing. And a 5 minute walk into town where you can find an assortment of food and drink options - supporting local businesses. I’ll definitely be making Grand Lake my annual summer retreat.Caleb HendersonAugust 17, 2018Enjoyed my stay in one of the private rooms at the Cliffside cottage. Stayed for two days in the middle of the week and was the only one in the entire cottage. Still there’s lots of amenities - hiking trails, scenic with wildlife, full kitchen with dishes and cook ware, large dining area, and great views of the town. Very reasonably priced - it’s are not super fancy, but all of the facilities, rooms, and restrooms were clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly.Devasya JaniJune 22, 2018I stayed at the Men’s hostel for 3 nights. Loved the vibe of this place. Lodge has got all you need after a long day at Rocky Mountains, beautiful location and authentic common area. It’s a great place to meet hikers. Staff was throughout helpful and active to keep the lodge clean. Grand Lake is peaceful than staying in Estes Park in my opinion.Sie SoAugust 20, 2017I'm a CDT hiker and stayed the night here. Only $25 for the hostel. Great deal for a Colorado tourist town. This place is huge. Right on the mountain side with a helluva view. The lobby is great and even has a fireplace. The staff gave me free dinner leftovers which was awesome. The only downside is no laundry. There's a nice laundromat in town but it's about half a mile away
