Shadowcliff Mountain Lodge

Join Yoga Nidra facilitator and wellness practitioner Stevie Kitterman for a deeply restful guided meditation designed to help you slow down, release tension, and reconnect with yourself.

Practicing in Shadowcliff’s historic chapel, overlooking Grand Lake and the surrounding mountains, participants are invited to settle into stillness and experience a state of rest often described as “yogic sleep”, a place between waking and sleeping where the body can relax deeply while the mind remains gently aware.

Through guided awareness and body-based practices, Yoga Nidra supports the nervous system in shifting out of stress and into rest. Many people find that this practice helps reduce anxiety, improve sleep, restore energy, and create a sense of grounded calm. Over time, it can also deepen self-awareness and support emotional balance and resilience.

No prior experience is necessary. This is a fully guided practice, and participants are invited to simply lie down, listen, and receive.

What to Expect

Each session is primarily experienced lying down in a comfortable position. Stevie will guide you through a series of gentle awareness practices designed to help the body release tension and the mind settle into a state of deep rest.

Some blankets and mats will be available in the chapel, though you are encouraged to bring your own along with anything that will help you feel especially comfortable and supported (pillows, eye masks, extra layers).

This is a quiet, inward practice—no movement is required.
