Lisa has over 20 years of gained experience and education, giving her expertise in areas of gardening, holistic healing, and cultivating gardens for personal healing that provide a healthy environment for a person to grow.
Lisa says, “These gardens are helping to take the edge off of life, allowing space for needed transformation for people in their lives. Gardening for the Soul is a program that individuals can adapt into their daily lives. For so many, it’s healing from their broken past and their traumas… You plant the seeds that you want to grow in your life the same way as you would feed a garden. Caring for your garden is caring for your soul. There is a real transformation that definitely takes place within ourselves. The garden is a place where you are able to feed your soul, refresh your spirit, and cultivate a humble presence within nature and all of its glory.”
After 20 years of gardening and running landscaping crews. Lisa has tested these gardens for healing with many different demographics. She knows that Gardening for the Soul helps individuals heal. Lisa has watched these gardens increase people’s willingness to thrive and grow in the same way that gardens do, helping people change their lives by making better choices in their daily lives. Gardening for the Soul also provides an ethical and safe work environment that is multiculturally supportive of change and adaptation for all those who are seeking healing. Positively affecting each person’s life through job skills, stress management, and problem-solving are examples of these challenges.
“Gardening for the Soul helps to find a real connection within the self and develops an open relationship with nature through work experience. I strongly believe that we as a population can take back the basics of a healthy life through preventative measures and working together.”
