Tina Casagrand is the founder and publisher of independent print magazine The New Territory, which has published more than 300 writers and artists focused on the nature and culture of the Lower Midwest since its founding in 2015. Most of her professional career has been spent serving environmental nonprofits through coordination and communication capacities. Her clients include the Climate + Energy Project, the Missouri Prairie Foundation, and most recently the North American Invasive Species Management Association, where she served as communications manager. She teaches nature writing, arts, and communications at the Missouri Scholars Academy and has spoken at numerous writing conferences. She graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors of Journalism in magazine publishing and a Bachelors of Arts in anthropology.
