Led by former Rocky Mountain National Park Ranger and third generation Coloradan Gail Spinden, families enjoy a wide variety of activities. We like to grow and refresh programming for “Critters” from year to year, but activities may include group hikes, stargazing, birding, a boat tour of Grand Lake, and even a chance for everyone to try their hand at fly fishing. Trips into Rocky Mountain National park to see wildlife, visit the mountain stream birthplace of the mighty Colorado River, and stand at the great Continental Divide, are plentiful.
Guests spend nights in our cozy mountain lodge and enjoy a full course of activities planned by our professional faculty. We serve home-cooked meals from our kitchen in a family-style dining room. This is an ideal all-inclusive getaway for parents, grandparents and kids, ages 6 and up. We love to see inter-generational groups!
*Local’s Tuition now includes all meals and programming, excludes lodging only.
Kids playing and learning outside promotes creativity, social intelligence, independence and physical health. It’s an all-around healthy choice. At Shadowcliff, our mission is to promote healthy and sustainable living through education and hospitality at our Rocky Mountain lodge in Grand Lake, Colorado. We would love to see you and your family join us for this special experience.
