Meeting Spaces

Ample indoor and outdoor spaces for community, reflection, and connection in the heart of the Rockies.

Fostering Connections

Shadowcliff was built with community in mind.

Our campus includes a range of beautiful meeting spaces — both indoor and outdoor — designed for gatherings of all kinds. Whether you’re hosting a workshop, a reunion, a retreat, or a ceremony, Shadowcliff offers spaces that encourage presence, conversation, and creativity.

Some accommodations include dedicated meeting spaces as part of their nightly rate, while others can be reserved for an additional fee. Many shared areas, such as Rempel Lounge, The Point, and the Laws of Nature Trail, are always available to guests at no charge.

The Chapel

Inspiring views and timeless design for gatherings of all kinds.

Originally built as a chapel, this beloved space sits at the highest point of the Shadowcliff campus, with wraparound windows overlooking the lakes and surrounding mountains. Constructed of native lodgepole pine and moss rock, the Chapel’s massive stone fireplace and artistic details create a warm, welcoming atmosphere for group experiences.

The Point

An iconic outdoor space for reflection and shared moments.

The Point is Shadowcliff’s main outdoor gathering area — a natural amphitheater with rock and timber bench seating surrounding a central fire pit. Overlooking Grand Lake and the Gore Range, this space has hosted countless onversations, musings, prayers, epiphanies, stories, musical performances, and tears of both joy and sadness. The beautiful cross memorial invites you to peer out and contemplate life's bigger questions.

Perfect for: opening or closing circles, storytelling, music, memorials, and nighttime campfire gatherings.

Cliffside Third Floor Lounge

A private indoor retreat with panoramic lake views.

Groups staying in Cliffside Lodge enjoy exclusive access to this light-filled lounge — an intimate meeting space ideal for reflection, discussion, or creative workshops. Large picture windows frame the lake and mountains, while a hanging fireplace, bookshelves, and a piano create a comfortable, inviting atmosphere.

  • Movement activities (yoga, meditation): up to 12

Amenities

  • Tables, chairs, and couches
  • Wi-Fi
  • Hanging fireplace

Laws of Nature Trail

An immersive trail for contemplation and movement.

Shadowcliff’s own interpretive nature trail, the Laws of Nature Trail winds gently through the property, featuring five contemplation points, each with a view and a simple “law” to consider.

Many groups use it for walking meditation, reflection exercises, or guided nature experiences — a beautiful way to connect with the landscape and the spirit of the place.

Perfect for: meditation, ecology walks, journaling, and solo reflection.

Shared Spaces

In addition to the dedicated meeting spaces above, all guests have access to:

  • Rempel Lounge: a welcoming common area with a fireplace, books, and games
  • Dining areas: for family-style meals in the Compassionate Kitchen
  • Outdoor decks: for small-group conversations and mountain air

Every gathering space at Shadowcliff was built with love — by volunteers who believed in creating a place of connection, learning, and renewal.
