Dan O’Neil

Dan O’Neil is a writer and maker who grew up on a farm in northwestern Minnesota, where he learned to drive a tractor, use a chainsaw, layer properly, and identify various star constellations. After a decade in NYC working as a playwright with various jobs including stints as company manager for The Little Opera Theatre Co of NY and department administrator at NYU Tisch Dance, Dan spent four years supporting a farm-based artist residency space near Cooperstown, NY while working at the Fenimore Farm Museum (where he learned to make brooms) and the past year as the innkeeper of a bed and breakfast in Amagansett, NY (where he learned to make breakfasts). He holds an MFA in Dramatic Writing from Carnegie Mellon University.
