Kate Fanis

Kate’s first time at Shadowcliff was as seasonal staff in the summer of 2008, where she was lucky enough to serve in the days of Bob Mann and Judith Christy as Co-Directors and Judy and Skelly Warren as Co-Managers. She stayed for the whole season, and her heart and soul made a lifetime connection to Shadowcliff right away. Kate joined the Board of Directors in 2023 and became the Board Chair in 2025. When she’s not busy with Board work or work work (managing a graduate program at UW-Madison), you’ll find her out hiking the Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin or curled up somewhere with a good book.
