Have you ever felt the need to be closer to nature?
Perhaps the everyday rhythm of your life has created a divide larger than you’d like between you and the outdoors. Perhaps your day to day has you outside all the time, but you’re interested in finding new ways to connect yourself and those around you to the natural cycles of life. Or maybe you work as an educator and are looking for new methods, tools, and connections that can help bring your students closer to appreciating their role in the world. No matter your situation, if you’re looking to be closer to nature, then you want be a part of a very special workshop happening at Shadowcliff June 21st-23rd.
It is with immense pleasure that I am able to say internationally known Sharing Nature Worldwide is bringing their two day Sharing Nature training workshop to our lodge this summer! Based on the influential work of master environmental education practitioner Joseph Cornell and his revolutionary book Sharing Nature, this training is for educators, naturalists, community and religious leaders, parents, business professionals and anyone who wants to feel closer to nature. Led by Greg Traymar, who has been personally trained by Cornell to head Sharing Nature U.S.A, participants will engage in learning:
-
How to make learning fun, experiential, and memorable
-
Award-winning nature activities that make ecological concepts and attitudes come alive
-
Teaching skills that touch the heart as well as the mind
-
Methods that encourage deeper learning and make existing programs more effective and  life changing
-
Flow Learning™—our outdoor teaching strategy—that gently, almost magically, guides   others to uplifting nature experiences and is based on Cornell’s newest book, The Sky and Earth Touched Me.
An All-Inclusive Weekend Event
We are thrilled to offer this two day training as an all-inclusive event. Registration includes lodging for the 21st and 22nd and meals during the entire course of the training. Participants are also welcome to purchase the night of the 23rd, which would include dinner that evening and breakfast the next morning. And of course you are also welcome to come earlier or stay longer at regular lodging rates. As one of the only USA-based Sharing Nature trainings, and currently the only one in the Rocky Mountain West, on the books for this summer, we expect to fill up quickly. Register today!
The work of Joseph Cornell has been deeply influential in my work both as an educator and sustainability professional. It is my hope that you will find the same inspiration through this training and find innumerable ways to use it on your personal and professional lives. We’ll see you this summer at the lodge!
