Shadowcliff Volunteer Calvin Gipson Appointed by Mayor Hancock to the Denver HIV Resources Planning Council
We love to highlight special stories from our Shadowcliff community at large! In February 2023, former board director and volunteer Calvin Gipson started a three-year term serving on the mayoral-appointed board of the Denver HIV Resources Planning Council. Since 1991, Shadowcliff has hosted an annual retreat for persons living with HIV, which is how Calvin first got involved. In part of his work to educate communities about HIV and helping people find resources for treatment, Calvin was featured in this powerful promotional video for the 5280 Fast Track Cities Task Force.
